Dear Daisy Dog

In a recent column, you answered questions about finding the right dog to adopt and monitoring animal-related legislation.

Please let your readers know they can find a rescue organization that specializes in the breed they want to adopt by visiting the Web site www.rescuedirectory.com.

In addition, the Pennsylvania Federation of Dogs Clubs (PFDC) maintains a breeder directory and tracks legislation in Pennsylvania.

Visit PFDC’s Web site at www.paonline.com/pfdc, or order their annual directory by sending $5.00 to P.O. Box 693, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009.

Daisy Responds

Thank you for supplementing my answer with important information. You have proven that, despite what the border collies say, humans are every bit as smart as we dogs are.

The PFDC directory contains listings of dog training classes, breeders, and local and national dog rescue groups, so every animal hospital and pet supply store in Pennsylvania should have a copy.
